Halloween is going to the Dogs and Cats and Ferrets too this year… as Jantzen Beach Center hosts—PET- SPOOK-TACULAR. The First Annual event will be held October 24th from 11am to 3pm in the interior mall at Jantzen Beach.
How can you and your pet participate? There are five categories that you can enter your pet into: Spookiest, Cutest, Most Original, Best Team (two or more, can be pet with their human or pet with another pet) and Overall Best Costume. A donation of pet food is requested instead of an entry fee and will benefit local animals. Registration will begin at 11am, with the competition beginning at 1pm. The contest is open to the first 100 pets in costume. Each registered pet will receive a “doggy bag” with coupons and additional items. The Overall Best Costume Winner will be featured in the 2011 Dove Lewis Pet Calendar.
Make a day of it with activities starting at 11am including pet trick or treating, vendor booths, a dog treat stacking contest, a pet adoption fair, and monster photo opportunities.
Pet lovers have dressed their pets in a variety of creative costumes over the years, and now you get the chance to show off your best pet look.
*Pets must be current on all shots, and be on a leash, and muzzles for pets if needed.
